Meet Lata Kochhar

Residential Mortgage Specialist

Lata Kochhar is the Founder  & Principal of Sovereign Canada Lending Group.  From being a Passionate professor/ instructor to becoming a Successful Mortgage broker and now starting her brokerage team, it’s been an incredible journey.  She brings over 15 years of experience of being a finance professional and possesses a strong theoretical and practical knowledge of the financial industry. She has been in the Mortgage Broker world for the last 5 years and has gradually worked her way up in the industry and is earning many accolades from her happy clients.

While dealing with her you realize that you are dealing with a highly qualified broker who has Double Master’s in Finance and Economics and many Canadian Educational accreditations including being a Certified Payroll Manager, which sets her apart from her peers. She is a successful Instructor with BCIT teaching Computerised Accounting programs, Payroll and Excel Engineering to Part-Time Financial Management Students. 

  • She is also an Entrepreneur for the past few years who owns a B2B lending company called Bravas Financial and understands short-term business lending needs of Small Business clients which gives her an edge as she understands both their personal and business financial challenges.

    With this vast financial experience and passion to help she is able to provide Holistic advice to all her clients with her access to all channels of banking and non-banking channels.

    Lata, calls Vancouver her home with her husband, Vineet and two beautiful children Soumya & Devansh. In her free time, she likes to meditate, listen to music and loves to travel across the world.

Meet Vineet Kochhar

Commercial Mortgage Specialist

Vineet Kochhar is the CEO – Commercial Lending, Sovereign Canada Lending Group. He is a Finance professional with a combined of over two decades of Financial Industry and global financial work experience.

After spending over 18 years with major Canadian banks in Business Banking & Wealth Management, he decided to join the Mortgage Broker industry and run Sovereign Canada Lending Group with his wife, Lata. His experience with the banks is helping clients in presenting their deals from a banker’s perspective with a proper credit and risk analysis.

He is purely a relationship person who has developed strong credit structuring & business development skills over the years working in the industry. He is known to deliver on very complex financing deals and is always able to offer the best solution to his clients.

  • Vineet has been involved in many community initiates and taken leadership roles to give it back to the community. Some of the initiatives include being on the Advisory Committee of Prevention of Oral Cancer under BC Cancer Agency banner representing the South Asian Community. He was an Honorary Chair for a very prestigious Fund Raising Gala initiative called Taste for Life. While at TD, he was a two-time Co-Chair for the Chinese Canadian Dental Society of BC and sponsored another highly prestigious Fund Raising Gala. For the past 5 years, he has been a Gala Chair for the BC Chapter of Institute of Chartered Accountants of India for their Annual Gala supporting various charities. He continues to be actively involved in many outreach programs through charitable organizations and in this direction is currently working as the President of Shri Shirdi Sai Kripa Dham Foundation of BC, a non-profit organization to develop a robust community outreach strategy for them which directly impacts our community.

    In his leisure time, he loves travelling with his wife and his kids throughout the world and loves playing cricket with friends.
